Thunder Alley was based in
the Atlanta area and performed all over the southeast for
a short period of time in the early 90's...Atlanta, Valdosta,
Myrtle Beach, Ft. Walton Beach. We did a little road touring
and held it together for a while, but it's short lifespan
was so full of good times for me, I wouldn't trade it for
the world. The lineup consisted of DLW on vocals and acoustic
gtr, Pete
Rivera on bass, and a couple of other guys whose names
escape me, perhaps because in the end, the breakup was a bad
one. We were a hard rockin' band and put on some really killer
shows. I was experimenting with black light paints and black
fingernail polish and I really felt like I was in my heyday
at the time. We didn't record anything but did work on a couple
of my old original songs. We had t-shirts available at the
time, made at a shop called Midnight Tee's on the square in
Marietta. The guy who owned the place befriended us and even
let us practice in his attic for a while. Mike Perea, your
help was appreciated!
